The importance of digital marketing. Gone are the days when a superstore can be built in a town and steal the business of all local companies in the area. Digital marketing evens the playing fields small companies and brands as it allows them to advertise to people where they spend their time and money. 97% of US adults under 65 are on social media at least once a month (Digital Marketing Blog, 2020). This makes the online world a great place to market yourself or your brand. 

It’s an understatement to say almost everyone is on the internet, that means people with all different kinds of interests and hobbies reside there. Digital marketing gives extreme control when It comes to targeting specific niches if you know what to look for. Not to mention when marketing on the internet you get all sorts analytics i.e. if people interacted or if they shared it. This means you get constant feedback on your marketing strategy and can use that information to improve results next time. Overall I think digital marketing is super important and honestly the best form of marketing in this day and age for not only freelancers and small companies but big companies too.
