The Use Of Target Market Research

Target market research is extremely useful as it allows you to “determine where your product fits in in the real-life market” (SurveyMonkey, 2020). Using the information gathered in target market research, you can do things like determine which markets are valuable and not valuable to your business, find gaps in the market where your product may perform really well and find new markets to explore that may be valuable to you.

All this information like markets and where your product will succeed are really good because it allows you to craft specific messages targeted towards those markets (Smallbusiness.chron.com, 2020) and appeal directly to them. It also gives you a direction to move your resources towards, without this you would be wasting resources trying to appeal to everyone rather than focusing on a potential market. Focusing on potential allows you to reach the right audience and yield (hopefully) better results.

The pictures above are my 3 buyer personas. The main reason why I think these represent my target market is because they all like RPG or puzzle games which is right were my game sits. A lot of them are explorers also which my game will cater towards quite a bit.
